Design West Builders is located in scenic Central Utah, in the city of Monroe.  Jim Woods is President, Founder and co-owner of Design West Builders Incorporated.  Jim started Design West in 1996 as a sole proprietor after establishing 25 years of experience in the home construction industry. 

Steve Fehlhaber, is Vice President and co-owner, and spent 35 years in the Electronics Manufacturing Industry. He was involved in Operations, Management and Technical vocations until relocating to Utah in 2004. 

These two owners of Design West met when Steve was searching for his new home in Monroe, Utah.  After selecting a lot and a house model, Jim went to work on Steve’s home and completed it in the record time of only sixty days!

This project initiated a friendship that later resulted in private financing for one of Jims construction projects.  The success of that investment led to a casual partnership in 2006 and ultimately the incorporation of Design West Builders, Inc. as of July 1, 2007. 

Design West Builders Incorporated specializes in Spec and Custom Home Construction in Central Utah.  They also do Commercial sub-division projects and residential sub-division improvement projects.  They are currently working with local Log Home manufacturers as builders and partial build contractors.
